Just for fun.
An impromptu photoshoot.

I dream of women wanting more to express themselves, than what is beautiful in the context of the society.
I have nothing against the no make up look. I personally think that it is very pretty on a bride, and in fact, it is what I usually recommend. But I believe that there are more possibilities on how much more beautiful a bride or a woman could be if we break out of the cookie cutter and reflect more on how our individuality could shine. Cliche as this may sound, but really, beauty truly comes from within. In my search for a vision, I am also searching for something deeper. Make up will truly become an art form of women's advocacy if it will be used not only to enhance physical traits, not only to satisfy what one sees in the mirror or to empower women through self confidence but also to embrace the individuality of a person that is more beautiful than anything else.

Angela’s debut is all about her favorite movies and broadway shows, so for her pre-debut photoshoot, we tried to imitate scenes or the movie poster of her selected movies and broadway shows.

I am going to be really honest. I was so anxious the night before Herson and Debbie’s wedding. I was so anxious, I couldn’t sleep right, I was tossing and turning the whole time. I was thinking, I just want to get it on and get it done and over with as quickly as possible. My nerves were killing me until the whole preps was over– or maybe even until Debbie walked down the aisle.
Why?????
It was my first time to do hair on my bride.
When Debbie made her reservation to me, I told her that she asked in perfect time because I was about to take up a hairstyling course, and by the time of her wedding, my course would be finished by then, and I will have the knowledge on how to do bridal hair by that time. I am so thankful that she still booked me none the less of knowing that I am not that experienced when it comes to doing hair. I am soo flattered by her trust. But as the days grew nearer towards her wedding day, I could feel the nerves settling in. I was so nervous that I may not be able to meet her expectations, given that hairstyling is not really my cup of tea.
Come the wedding day, I could say that me and Debbie are both nervous wrecks for varying reasons, (or maybe for the same reasons! hahaha!) but I was only able to breathe when she did too, and that’s when I watched her march down the aisle to meet Herson at the altar.
To Herson and Debbie, I dedicate this post to you guys, as I am utterly GRATEFUL for the trust that you have given me on your day. It was definitely a milestone, not only because it was the most important day of your lives, but also for me– for it was not only my first time to do hair on my bride, but also my first time to be on my own on a wedding and my first time to be in Puerto Princesa. Thank you…. thank you…. thank you!!!!
