I always get anxious when I will just meet my bride for the first time on the day of her wedding itself. Most of the time I get to meet my clients prior the wedding day for consultation, trial hmu or for their prenuptial shoot. Me and Steve mostly get a chance to break the ice between us and the client during those pre-wedding meetings so that we would be at ease and comfortable with each other on the big day. Today was one one of those days when I get butterflies in my stomach before ringing that doorbell at my bride’s hotel room door. I get anxiety attacks not knowing how my bride looks like, or what I will exactly do, or just plain not knowing her. All I know is that her mom, Mrs. Naty Lim is the one who’s in contact with me, only through text and phone calls, giving me the details for her daughter’s wedding. This is one of those what I call “unexpected” days.
When we all finally met in person, me and Steve didn’t have a hard time feeling at ease around them. April’s a cute and laid back chick who seemed so happy go lucky and not experiencing any wedding jitters. Her Mom, Mrs. Naty Lim, upbeat and vibrant-is such a lovable mom! I later found out that the reason why April and I weren’t able to meet or contact each other at all were because: 1. April’s based in Singapore and 2. Mrs. Naty did all the preparation for April’s wedding. April didn’t even know what color her flowers will be!
I found it so cute and amusing when april asked her mom what color her flowers will be and how they’ll look like. She truly trusted her mom for the preparation of her wedding, and I can say that she was really really happy on how her wedding turned out in care of her mom. Because of Mrs. Naty’s super coordination and planning combined with her unconditional love, the wedding of Wency and April turned out to be a pleasant surprise for all of us. This old saying hence applies to them well: Mothers know best.
